Clunk In My Rear


i have a 94 gt with bbk springs and lower control arms. the problem is i hear i clunk in the rear when i hit a bump at an angle. i look everything over but didnt see anything loose or busted like a bushing or anything. so any help would be great thanks

did you try checking the torque of your control arm bolts?

it's your bump stop. its above the rear end directly above the pumpkin. you can either remove it all together or remove it and trim some off and put it back. its just doing its job. its to keep the body from bottoming out and smacking the suspension or the ground if you hit a really big bump with stock suspension. i lowered my 96gt and had the same problem i just removed it all together. it's only like 4 bolts.

you might be able to get away with just putting a glob of grease on it.

is your exhaust hitting my GT is lowered and the exhaust is hitting the swaybar so I get new exhaust!!

did you put the pads back on the springs when you installed them...if you did not, this will certainly make some noise over bumps
