MAF?


i just bought a cold air intake and do i need to buy a different MAF sensor or could i still use the stock one. thanks

Stock one's OK, but you could remove the mesh screen and also use a dremel to grind away the bar that runs down the middle of the MAF obstructing airflow.

you could use the stock one but an aftermarket one would increase your HP since its less of a restriction

Doesn't the stock '95 5.0 have a 70-mm MAF ??? (I might be mistaken) But, if so, horsepower-wise (i.e. more performance upgrades) you can use that meter with no problems until you switch to bigger injectors.

Don't waste the money or time on that until you do some more upgrades because it really wont matter. However, down the road a bigger mass air does compliment mods like manifold, injectors, throttle body, etc. Wait till it will actually make a difference.

I agree, save your money until you decide if you want to upgrade any further.
