Belt chirp on shifting

Ok, when I go WOT or near WOT, then let off the gas a little before shifting, it sounds like I have some sort of belt chirp. When I go WOT and shift still in WOT, no chip. Never any other squealing or squeeking. Why is it doing this? I'm thinking belt actually runs over a pulley because it can't slow down as fast as the engine did? Does that make sense? Any ideas and how to fix? Brand new belt btw.

Just curious, I tell people it's my turbo blow off right now.....

my car with an sct tuner does the same thing on the 1-2 shift at WOT. i wouldn't worry about unless it happens when at partial throttle.

Any other ideas? It's driving me nuts and I can't trace it....

It doesn't do it AT constant WOT, only when I hit it hard in WOT and release from the gas, then when if shifts, it chirps....well, almost screams.

both my 2002 and 2004 gt have done this the ford dealership said that is something thay do with the mod motor to keep the belt from braking. i dont know if that is true or not. also my f150 did the same thing.

Think my belt might be a little too big? It really seems like when I let off, the engine drops rpms so fast that the belt keeps going and slips a bit. It's loud enough sometimes that people duck like they're being shot at.
