Will this combo work?
I have BBK longtubes on now. Will GT40p heads fit with this? And will a TF Street Heat intake bolt onto the gt40ps?
Is it worth getting the Trick Flow over a gt40p intake?? Thanks!

pretty sure the P's require a special header...get some gt40x or trickflow...u will be happier that way anyhow.

Yeah...if I could afford that....
The only thing I've heard on the gt40p's is that they work with some headers. Will the BBK's definitely not work?

i got the holly systemax2 intake and twisted wedge heads and they are great for the street especially if you port your heads and intake together

Im almost 100% sure that u have to use SPECIAL headers. why not go with gt40s and port them. Im pretty sure they flow better anyways.

Yeah, I'll do that. The p's are more common, so I was just wondering if it would work. Thanks for the help.

i see this thread is a few days old, but yes you WILL require a specific header with the GT40P's.

no, the BBKs do not fit worth a sh!t with GT-40Ps. i know this from experience. MAC longtubes are the best fit for the P heads next to the P spacific headers.

As for which are the best choice of heads & intake, that'll depend on the rpm at which you want maximum torque and the maximum rpm that you want to run the engine to. Give us some numbers and we can guide you towards your goal.

I'm not building a track car - I drive the stang every day if the weather calls for it(otherwise I have the beater). Even with that said, I'm not too worried about poor fuel economy, but I still want the car to be comfortable to drive - I don't want to put an intake on rated at a minimum of 3000 rpm. But essentially, I'm looking for street performance.

In that case you could consider a pair of GT40X aluminium heads, Tmoss ported Cobra intake, and a CompCams XE270HR cam.
