there is a guy that wants to sell me a 5.0 with 90,000 miles on it and needs a water pump gasket. he wants me to make him an offer. what should i offer? and has anyone ever swapped a 3.8 for a 5.0?

5.0 engine, depends, $350. to $750.
Way too many other parts needed for a swap though................... Unless you had a cheap wrecked donor car to provide each & every part. Heres a parts list..

IMO, If you want a 5.0, find a 94-95 and sell your car. I've never seen your swap done, but plenty of 3.8's to 4.6. You will spend more $$$ converting it than it's worth. Unless you just want to learn and do the swap. Then go for it.
