Transmission Problem


I just installed a new transmission and when i try to put it into gear it wont go but when the car is off it goes into every gear any suggestions?

what happens when you try to put it into gear? any noise and how does the clutch feel ? with the car one and off...was there any problems you ran into when u put it in..and have you ever put a tranny in before?

tranny


yes i have put one in before no problems putting one in when the car is off can put into any gear when the car is on with the clutch all the way in it wont go into any gear this is the same problem we had before the new tranny thats why we replaced it

Sounds like the clutch isnt disengaging. Hows the clutch cable?

future reference to save money..dont play part swappers..make sure u find out what is wrong and why first

Did you reset the clutch quadrant by pulling up on the clutch pedal? That may have some impact on getting the clutch to release the entire way.
