94-95 Computer
Hey I have a 95 GT. and was wondering what you guys think I am going to put trickflow twited wedge heads and a cam in her but people say you have to swap out the computer to a 89-93 A9L computer and you need the specail wiring kit to do that. So Do you think thats the thing to do or just have a new chip burt and put that in?
Thanks |

Nothings wrong with the original T4M0, it should work perfectly with TFS power package.. I use Edelbrock with E303 cam, works fine. Contact TFS Tech Support and forget the rumors.

You will have no problem with the computer. I have Trickflow Twisted Wedge Heads, Trickflow Track Heat Intake, and a custom ground cam. People told me that I would need a custom tune, but that is not true at all. I am having no problems with my 347 stroker and the stock computer.

You probably wont have problems as you said but I'm pretty sure you're missing some hidden power from that extra displacement & TFS top end.. why dont you take it to a pro for a dyno and see what he can do with a tune? it shouldn't cost much for a monochip..

I gained 45 more HP by having a dyno shop burn me a chip , have TFS power pack , They had to richen the fuel a LOT !!!! dropped from 12.70 to 12.03 in the 1/4 mile. Worth the money !!!
But now that I have swapped the engine out for a 347 , I am thinking of buying a stand alone unit and tune it myself..

The chip didnt give him 45hp they tuned it to get the 45hp. The chip just keeps the tune. Unless you run a stand alone you will need a chip burnt after a dyno tune.
