Shorty Headers
I've found a few types of shorty headers on the market, and I'm wondering which ones would be the best for a mostly street Mustang. I've seen there are the equal length shorties and the un-equal length shorties. What are the benifits of each pair?

i have BBK long tubes and would not trade them for anything. You will get more power from them than shorties, and the sound is unmatchable. shorties will give you some HP gain but if your going to spend the money on them and labor, get the long tubes. And if you can get the ceramic coated ones. they will last forever and will shield some of the heat from the cabin of the car.
As far as brands...BBK and Hooker are the only ones that i have heard all good things about.

Yeah, I wish I could get longtubes, but I live in Massachusetts and need it to pass emmissions. I've heard with longtubes it's hard to pass emissions. I was planning to do the labor though.

the labor is not easy at all....and as far as the HP difference in shorts and longs it like 2-3 HP nothing you will notice.......cooks and jba are among some of the best if you have the money to spend they are kinda pricey with bbk and hooker they are both great also and more reasonable... with a good set of equal lengths you will not notice a difference from the long tubes.. I am running the bbk equal length shorties and love them cause I didnt have a lot of options for a 95 auto to fit and the jba's were out of stock and I am in mexico so I needed all my parts together in on shipment and couldnt wait

Okay, so if I am going with shorties, should I get equal length ones or unequal length headers?
