Grinding noise only while turning right?

I hear a metal-on-metal grinding coming from the passenger-front whenever I turn right, but not left. It is not the power steering, it only makes the noise while the car is moving. I'm assuming wheel bearing, but any other ideas? I'm going to replace the bearing this weekend and see if it helps.

I would say the noise is the rotor rubbing the backing plate, and the cause is excessive play in the wheel bearing... Sounds like you are on the right track!

tear the rim off check your suspension, but it might be tire rub.

Sounds like sloppy / bad wheel bearing.

if the car is off the ground grab the wheel at 12, and 6 o'clock and see if theres any movement..if so its definitely your wheel bearing

before you tear into things look at the strut and wheel and all over for any shinny metal services, might just be a rub

Well I am just throwing this out there. On my 95 I have 18x10s and when I turn to the right it does the same thing you are talking about. What I cam to find out, it is my weights on the inside of my rims that is scraping agents my a-arm. so what rims do you have?
