AC and Smog Delete Questions

Hey guys, long time no see. I started my spring build and ran into a couple issues. The bellhousing was cracked so i bought a lakewood, the tranny i originally ordered to replace my broken tranny ended up being the tranny with the shorter input shaft and not the 94-95 input shaft so i have to send that back out and ge that fixed. While i'm waiting for that I have a 1995 mustang GT and want to get rid of smog and AC stuff. i know theres documents on the net for the smog delete. I need to know if i can do the delete of both pumps without using pulleys and just using a shorter belt. If so i would like a diagram on how the belt should be routed. Also what do i need so i can take out my AC junk. What do you guys use to plug your vacuum lines with. Thanks, Poirot.

Theres a couple of ways to do it... and I'm a fox guy so this may be wrong but I'm assuming the accessories are similar if not the same. 1: remove the pumps and buy a p/s relocate kit so that your p/s gets moved to about where the A/C would have been or 2: get the extra pully that goes in place of the A/C pump. You can remove the smog pump and not have to get another pully, but when you do the A/C, you have to add the pully or move the p/s to make it work, otherwise the belt won't fit.

it'll be the top right. that's the configuration mine is running. with the power steering pump where the a/c was. i'm guessing the belt is 70.5". i haven't looked at it since i bought the car. it was already like that.

I got my relocate bracket from summit, it was around $40 IIRC. I'm about 99.9% sure that you don't need to change hoses on your p/s, I havent put my motor back in yet so i can't be 100% on that. I removed everything that has to do with my A/C under the hood. When you remove your smog pump, its a good idea to remove your cats because w/o the smog pump they will eventually clog and fail so get an o/r mid-pipe.

Ok so i actually went to look at my belt system and that diagram is nothing like mine on my 5.0 HO. This is a rough sketch of my current setup:

and i'm thinking i can pull off this belt setup:

let me know what you guys think, has anyone done this setup? It'd be nice not having to move anything, just getting a smaller belt. My car won't be on the road for about another 3 weeks. Thanks
