good question... i know of a few at 10:1 - 10.5:1 i am thinking that is a good comp. ratio not too high not too low but i am not a 100%

compression isnt the factor since there are a lot of really high comp. engines in drag cars that use N20.if you are still using a stock block 5.0 you probably want to stay under 500hp and 7000rpms so you dont destroy all your forged parts if you split your block
