getting ready to install bb-chevy in my 5.0


fabrication work is finished...tomorrow I will sand ,primer,and paint frame..then install 540 cu.in. here are some pics...

you know theres another guy on this site with a white V6 that is planning on putting a 527 BB chevy in a POS hes gonna buy for like 500 bucks or soemthing like that lol

I dont care much for 572s ,had one ran it got rid of it ..540s fly..seems like 540s have the right bore - stroke combination....

this is merlin motor,it dyno little over 800hp,,and I run 200hp nitrous kit..

That is an awesome project you have there. It's good to see someone using the BBC in the light weight Ford Chassis.

so if honda came out with a 400CU big block that made like 700rwhp and it was like 8k youd consider buying it?

You bet your ass I would... I would be shoe horned into a honda though... 800hp is 800hp no matter how you look at it... Now torque is the other question... What does that monster put down for torque numbers...

I like all American cars,,I have raced fords,chevys,pontiacs,olds,buicks,and mo pars....this 540 out of my gto that I sold, and bought tube chassis fox which is 450 pounds lighter ...gto ran 560s in 1/8...119 60 ft.low 9s in 1/4...looking to go 8s in the fox...here's a pic of gto ...one of my favorite cars is 69 amx.and I never own one......everything in this 540 is aftermarket..block,heads,all internals

question why do most racers use power glides,,or turbo400s behind serious ford motors..
