It's not quite 3 qts. Best way to do it....drain it all out using a 3/8 drive ratchet and extension on the bottom plug. Put the plug back in and remove the top plug. Remove shifter and pour in 2 qts. Get a friend to look under the car as you start to pour the 3rd qt in. When it starts coming out of the top plug you're good to go. Put the plug back in and bolt the shifter back down and you're done. If you don't have a friend to help you I believe it takes alittle more than 2 1/2 qts.
