Power window problem
My power window on the pass side works fine when the switch on the driver side is used but when the pass side switch is used the widow will only go down could it be the switch? Its a 94 wuth 17k on it, its a garage queen.

yea its most likely the switch... same thing happend to mine, your local auto parts store should have em in stock, and they're easy to replace, but you could take the old one out and cleans it with some emory cloth and some eletric motor cleaner

This was my present I got myself when I retired from the Army, I want to keep it looking new and pass it to my son one day, of coarse he will probably trash it...lol

probably gonna be that switch, its easy to get out, then take your time and take it apart (careful there is a spring in there if i remember and a ball bearing too so dont loose them) then clean the parts with a paper towel and some kind of cleaner, if its oxodised badly you can use a pink eraser to shine up the conections again then use some di-electric (sp?) grease to keep it like new. works great.
does this forum have spell check? i cant spell and i neeed it lol |
