transmision swap question


are the 94-95 v6 and v8 auto trans the same? interchangable would be a bigger question

so if i were to swap out my 3.8 for a 351 i have here in the corner it would work it might not last too long but it would work

they are the same as far as bolting up, however they are different internally. If you want to bolt an auto up to a 351 I would be looking for an AOD out of a fox V8, an AOD-E out of a 94/95 GT or a C-4. I wouldn't waste my time bolting a V6 auto up to it.

just a temp thing until my c4 gets back to me, i have the v6 auto in the car and want to swap in the 351 but the c4 wont be here for a while

i feel like that would be a waste of time. but your call. just be easy on the pedal and dont try and smoke anything.

its just a temp thing til the c4 is done, the 351 is going to the machinists this winter anyway.

my wife is going to be driving it right now and she is real easy on it. if it goes i guess ill be swapping it fast than what i want to

ive never seen a woman drive a sports car who didnt have a very heavy foot. plan on that swap the day after she takes the car. LOL.

what about a manual tranny? will a 95 v6 tranny bolt up to a 302 based motor?
