harmonic balance

hey guys i got the puller and i took the pulley off..i could only get two of the bolts threaded in, out of the four holes because of the way the puller is shaped..i screwed in the center bolt and when i try to tighten it, it just spins the crank. Is there a bolt in the middle where the center bolt screws into? or does anyone have any ideas on how to keep it from spinning?

You only need two bolts on the puller. There is a big bolt in the center of the balancer. If you don't remove that the balancer will never come off.

also you can put the car in gear and have some one hold the brake and that will hold the crank, thats what I had to do

That isn't going to do anything when the balancer bolt is still in the crank....
