Go for it, show him up, just don't be dumb. Funny story, I had a friend showing off doing a burnout after another friend did one, he slid into a curb and cracked a wheel. We could get into how he doesn't know how to drive but the point is he wasn't showing up anyone changing that flat tire, haha.

good choice... you will actually be surprised, your 5.0 will keep up with your buddy's 99 GT, and with a few mods, you may actually beat it (if the 99 is stock). good luck with your search. don't be afraid to drive a little distance to get a good car. remember, find one thats in as good a condition as you can find.

Yepp, It's better now, because since he'll be pissed that I'm selling my car my Dad wont help me get the new one, so I'll have a friend drive me and they'll be willing to drive further.

So yeah, my freind took the way I go home today from work, and like he took off, and I tried to keep up, and like I got to 60 before I slowed down (40mph limit) and he was just gone, I didn't have a prayer.

He's also 230 miles from here, but my freind with the GT is willing to drive it, he'll pay gas if I get food and a place to stay overnight, because it will be a 2-day excursion.

Personally, I find it amusing stomping V6 Stangs. Not because most are fairly easy to leave in the dust but because when Ford designed the cars they didn't try at all to make the V6 a fast V6. Hell, a stock 3.5L Intrepid would eat a stock V6 Mustang almost hands down. Anyway, there is just no comparison in performance between the Ford V6 and V8. But I'll admit I was stomped by a V6 Stang once. He had too much money in the car given it's a V6 in the first place. He blew a headgasket shortly afterwards, haha.

So did you get that car yet or are you still lookin for one? And if you are still wondering what to get in terms of transmission, I'd go with the stick, simply because I enjoy it more than an automatic. But, like everyone else said, it's up to you, get what you like.

I emailed the man, hes in the military, and needs to sell it NOW (he may have sold it already) and I have no means of buying it NOW.. so I had to let it go.. he had the car in California when I talked to him, and he would have let it go for 3k, and shipped it (included in the price) but I cant sell my car now, if I could I doubt it'd be in time to buy his, and since I already have 2k out on my car, I cant afford another 3k in loans.
