Clutch Problem

A couple weeks ago i was drivin my 94gt and i noticed my cluch would squeak every once in a while when i pushed it in. Then tonight while i was drivin a few times i stoped at a red light i was not able to put my shifter in to 1st gear all the way once i started to move the shifter would then move all the way in. I have no idea what could be wrong with my tranny im not good with trannys at all so some help on what is wrong and what to do would be great.

if you are not getting the shifter all the way in, then your clutch may not be disengaging completely. check your clutch cable and make sure its not getting hung up on anything

Might be a bent clutch fork. It also could be a bad throwout bearing.

If you hear squeeking when your clutch pedal is up and NOT when it's down = Throw out bearing. If not then your TOB is probably fine. If you have the factory adjustment system, make sure your clutch is fully adjusted and see if it makes a difference.

From what you said I bet you have a bad syncro on 1st. If you put it in 1st rolling at under 5 mph and it feels like it's missing the gear that is a sign of a syncro going bad. (if you don't feel it yet I'm sure you will soon.) It could also be a bent clutch fork. I had the same deal with my 94 GT
