lowest springs?
right now i have ford motorsports "c" springs, but I want to get my car as low as I can. i really like the Steeda sport springs, and that's what I want to get, but I don't think those are the lowest out there... any ideas on what might be the lowest spring i can get? thanks

id prob say check out eibach, they have some low springs, a good way to get drop is to take the stock isolaters out if you havent yet, and if its still not low enough for ya you can cut half a coil out and it will drop it considerably. I see you have the c/c plates which is good as dropping a car to much without those adjusted can lead to bad alignment, excessive tire wear etc, if you dont wanna cut your springs go check out eibachs site, or H&Rs there good to

cutting the springs is an option but not the smartest it could result in your car riding like absolute garbage. i have the eibach pros in my car and the drop is much more noticeable than the ford racing c springs that i had in my last 95 stang.

yeah check into eibachs sportline springs, they have a 2" drop and people have been taking the spring isolators out to get it a that much lower

the spring isolators are the pieces of rubber on the top and bottom of the spring to eliminate road noise. when you change springs they will come out.

thanks adder... that's what im looking for.
when you take the isolators out, is the road noise a lot worse? im not too worried about it, but if it is a significant increase in road noise, then i probably wont do it

mine are Hyperco. i think they are more of a road racing spring than a lowering spring. they sit pretty low, they arent as smooth as the eibachs but the car corners like it's on rails. personally i'd go with the eibachs.

cutting springs is only an option in my oppinion if you have constant rate springs... gt springs are NOT constant rate... mach 1 springs are though... sport lines with isolators removed are probably your best bet.. it wont be THAT bad with road noise.. also, if you're going that low, be sure to buy either a bump steer kit or at least offset steering rack bushings, because it will get "jerky" over bumps in the road because you offset the steering rack from the steering knuckle so much...
