What I did over the past few weekends...Pics inside!

Well, after almost a year of saving and sacrificing the time was here. I called Woody from Fordstrokers.com back in Feb. and asked him to build me a 347. He assembled the longblock for me consisting of stock production block, probe pistons, scat crank, scat rods, AFR 185 58cc heads, Jay allen billet cam, double roller TC and gear, pushrods, and comp ultra gold 1.6 RR. I told him I wasn't in a big rush for it because I still had to get the rest of the components. It was shipped to me in late June and my time and money have had to go towards other things the past few months. The car just had to take a backseat to everything else. So without further adieu, here is what I did over the past few weekends.

Stock 160k 5.0, still running great but it was time for her to leave.

The pic Woody sent me while it was still at his shop.

The new 347 sitting in it's new home.

Not to sound "whipped" or anything, but, I have to thank my fiance for putting up with my obsession. She has dealt with it pretty damn good. I've also gotta thank my friends Gator, Matt, and Travis for helping me put it in. They saved me alot of cash.

Here is a soundclip of it idling. I still have to get it tuned yet, but, overall she's already pretty street friendly. Any questions/comments are welcome.

Oh it has taken me a long time to save up for this thing. In the end it's all worth it though. It killed me to have it sitting on a pallet for almost 2 months, I just had other things that need to be tended to first. After the tune I'm hoping for around 350 to the wheels. I'll keep everyone posted.

Looks awesome dude. Break it in nice and easy, get it tuned, and then see what it does on the dyno; 1.0rwhp/ci should be easily attainable.

Got it SCT tuned last week but unfortunately he doesn't have a dyno. Guess I'll have to make a trip up to ACA performance in the spring to have it dyno'd. I want to go with a bigger T/B, AFM powerpipe, and a LMAF. I need to get this thing to breathe a little better. The tuner said my CAI was heating up to about 140* before the tune. That's what I get for having 302 parts on a 347 I guess. Raced an '03 GT with it y-day and beat him pretty badly even with the tires spinning through the first 3 gears. I know it's not really anything to brag about considering what I have now, but, I've had my ass handed to me a few times by the modular guys. It's nice to return the favor for a change.

your gonna have to get some radials for the back if you want to really use that power. especially when you spray it

Yeah get some d/r's and break a T-5...no thanks. Street tire only car until I put a better tranny in there. I'll probably go with an astroperformance T-5 or see what D&D has for t-56 conversions.

Thanks for the comments! If the rain holds off today I'll go out and shoot some new vids. I like the way it idles now more than I did before it was tuned.

1FUN4RD- I'll be taking the front acc. brackets off and cleaning everything up soon. I just haven't had the time. I don't want it to look half new and half shitty...LOL
