The SN95 computer dose have its quirks...but they can be tuned out by a compatent tuner with the right hardware.
Its alot easier than trying to switch ECUs and wiring harness's I used SCT for my setup and I love it. Ive got a few friends who are "trying" to use the Diablo setup...but they are getting ready to ditch it for the SCT. Also...steer clear of "mail order" tunes as they are only a stab in the dark in the tuning sence due to the fact that every car is different...reguardless of what some people like to belive and try to sell. Ive seen many engines ruined by mail order tunes.

As far as computer tuning for 94-95 models goes, the best way to go is with the Tweecer RT.

Looked at the comparisons...very interesting. Anyone else run the Tweecer?

Thats a rather bold statement considering the many options out their and the many different combos and people. 95stangsvt.... What mods are done to the car? HCI? If that is the case you have a few options. Self tuning or a chip. If you think you might want to self tune then you can look into the Tweecer, PMS, or a standalone like the AEM. Again this will depend on how involved you want to get in the tuning aspect of it. Each set up has its pros and cons. If self tuning is not your thing then you can simply get a dynotune and chip burnt. Again I will say it, getting a tune and chip is only going to be as good as the guy who is burning it, so be careful and do some research.

A chip tune's success will depend on the ability of the tuner and if you do further mods, you'll need to have the chip reburnt so that's a disadvantage. The SCT does look like a nice piece, but you give Superchips your vehicle specs and mod list, and they custom program it. It may be close to optimal but on the other hand, it may not. If you're not into self-tuning, this may be the best choice. The Anderson Ford Motorsport PMS and Tweecer RT allow you to self-tune to optimize the fuel and timing curves, but you need some computer skills and a laptop. AFM PMS is more user-friendly but also about $300 more expensive than the Tweecer RT, so the best choice here will depend on the individual's comfort level. |

The Tweecer RT is a very good setup once you get past the learning curve.
I obviously prefer my SCT setup....but it does help that I have unlimited access to a SuperFlo Chassis Dyno and a Sneek data loger for when I change/adjust my setup. Again...I would stay away from any type of "mail order" tune. Reguardless of who or what company is doing it. With that said.....Ive got a few racing buddies who use the Tweecer with great results.
