I am picking up a set of used flow master 40s 2 chambers tomorrow. $50 bucks and there near rust free... I think for now I will just have them welded in, till I can decide what mid pipe I want.. should sound good..

Dude, put your money towards a better set of mufflers. 40 series flows are pretty restrictive compared to others. Spintechs or dynomax race bullets are a much better choice.

Yeah I will be going with an H, I am after x-mas starting to pick up parts for
my motor rebuild.. I will wait on the exhuast till my new motor is in..

I am thinking of going with LT's for the torque, and an H with HF cats..

You could also consider Magnaflow stainless steel mufflers. High-quality, high-flowing, and great sound. Put them behind a pair of MAC LT's and an H-pipe.

it you like flowmaster..check out the super 44's..they are sick and sound badass..you dont have money for a midpipe right now?? or u just cant find one? IMO i would do all the exhaust at once, and like u said , u should go with LT's..i wish my friend who owned my car before i did , had out LT's instead of shorties!

alot of people say that flowmaster restrict well its probly a good thing they do because if u have a off road pipe with high flow mufflers u get no back pressure....and we know that we need some back pressure to create torque which helps in the quarter mile...if u have no restrictions at all lets say staight pipe...well then that just helps at high speed runs...

This is the same issue I have run into. I have a BBK O/R H running to stock mufflers. Its loud don't get me wrong but i would like an even more deeper and louder rumble. Obviously changing the mufflers would be the way to go but im concerned about the back pressure issue. I do not want to loose torque for the sake of sound. I was looking at a set of purple hornies they do sound extremely aggressive. Any ideas?

Letter cams are a horrible choice. Don't waste your money on one.
