Help with Cobra brake swap

Ok ppl, I'm thinking of swapping out my brakes. I can get parts off an '04 cobra.

The guy has front spindles, 4 rotors and 4 calipers. I mentioned that I'll need the dust shields and rear caliper brackets. There was no problem there.

My questions, seeing I never even looked into this before are ...

1) Do I need to change the spindles ?

2) Anything else I might need off the Cobra ?

Thanks in advance for the help, and any info is helpful. I'm in the dark here.

6k for complete engine w/SC. From oil pan to the TB. but you already knew that.

Seeing that's more then I paid for my car last month, I'll be sticking with the brakes for now.

Is there anything else, brake wise, that I'll need off his car Lefty? I've been searching the forum and the web for what's needed. I want to make sure I get what I can from the cobra while I have the chance.

You will likely need the brake hoses for the front with the correct banjo bolts. I say that as they included them in my upgrade kit. I would look hard at the seals and bearings on your rear axles as I had one bearing that was shot on mine when I did the conversion and had to get a different axle.

Thanks for the link Lefty. Lots of good info in there.

Blower, I was thinking the same thing. Maybe I can get the 1st section of hose off the cobra too.

Also, I'm curious about the caliper bracket plate. The main plate that bolts to the axle housing, then the dust shields bolt to that.

How To Install A Ford Racing Brake Upgrade Kit

If you scroll down to step #13,

Once the axle is removed, the four bolts holding the caliper to axle bracket can be removed. Using the same bolts, the new bracket can placed back in the same spot. The new caliper brace can be installed using the new u-bolt and nuts and the new dust shield can be replaced.

The pic above and below #13 shows what I am talking about.

Now is that plate what everyone means by "you need the rear mounting brackets". I was thought everyone was taking about the "U" shaped mount, not the plate.

Also what are the "moan braces". I that what they are talking about here ...The new caliper brace can be installed using the new u-bolt and nuts.

Sorry to be a pain, but I rather get everything that I can. I figure I might have to shop for some parts to complete the swap. I just want to make sure that if I can't get them off the cobra, that I can buy the parts separately. Not just in a kit. If that makes any sense.
