I havent done anything yet. But i will be sticking with doing the pi swap and not an engine. I looked at doing the engine but it wouldnt fit into my budget at this time. I should be starting the swap as soon as the ice melts off the road. Hopefully i will have build pics

you will be fine with the pi swap alot of people say it would do damage but thats not true as with anything with high miles dont beat the shit out of it. I did my pi swap at around 150k i now have 164k and theres no problems good luck with the swap

Anyways my dad is giving me an o/r xpipe for xmas (yea its a lil late) and i using one of my scholoarships to buy the intake and heads. I cant wait!!!!

nah man its not that bad just disconnecting the pipe from underneath can be stubborn use a torch or some propane and heat the hell out of those nuts and they will come right off the exhaust manifolds will come off attached to the heads just dont drop one of those bastards on your foot lol as far as the timing goes its pretty straight forward get a haynes manual and a torque wrench and your damn near set just time consuming thats all

Are these gonna give me that much more than the PI cams. Also would i look for cams for the the NPI engine even though i Have pi heads? Cuz i mean the compression ratio is going to be 10:1 So how do i know what cams to throw in there?

yea you'll notice a difference i mean it depends on what your build is gonna be, and plans are i'd call someone there tell them what your looking to do and have to possibly do some type of custom grind.

(PTV is close on the NPI motors, so for insurance we machined the margin off of the valves which gave us lots of clearance, and was a very quick an easy procedure. ) (I threw in his stock baseline in too, cause well its fun!

You can get some cams pretty cheap if you look around.. mustang forums, craigslist, ebay etc. might as well while your in there man.. it will totally change the way you think of your engine.

If you don't want to spend the money right away on the cams, at least prep for them. Your not too far away, I can get a price on cutting your PI valves down so that you would have all the piston to valve clearance you would ever need. Then when you have the extra $$ around your just a cam swap away from over 300rwhp.

Not with the PI head. I'm going degree them though when they go into my pi heads. They wouldn't work with Npi heads.
