Should I get 4.10s or what?


Ok guys I'm looking into getting gears right now and my choice right now is 4.10s.. I mean I wanna really take off, off the line! But I don't wanna lose the power shortly after! What do u guys reccomend getting!?

4.10s rock I have them in both my stangs. Actually considering going 4.30 in my automatic

Yea? I've been wanting 410s for awhile now but then I started thinking that 430s would b even faster off the line? Most of my racing is stoplight to stoplight anyway.. Ya kno?

True but it will suck on the highway. I am basicly stock (some boltons) and I am running 8.89s in the 1/8th. Thats about a stop light to stop light run. By the time I am to the end I'm going into 4th. I would hate to have to go into od to keep going.

4.30's aren't that bad on the highway a friend of mine had one in a 5 spd 98 Cobra. and at 65 mph the rpms were at 2400-2600 rpms nothing outrageous. Alot of pepole make it out that you'll be at like 4000 or some shit lol.

I've got a 98 automatic with pi swap.. I don't plan on s/c or turbo or nos or anything I just want to be quick.. What should I get?

i have a friend with a NPI bolt on 96 GT with AOD and 4.30's i'll take a video of riding in it to give you an idea if ya want.

4.10's or 4.30's 100% Get some good tires and the most over look mod a good stall converter. You'll be a great street car.

cool i'll def. get it done for ya in the next couple days...but keep in mind that he does have a 2500 stall. So if he launches the car it'll be a lil different than your car. Thats something else i'd strongly suggest to ya is a bigger stall.

get the 4.30's I would also like to know how to work out for you. Be sure to get a tune to set your shift firmness and you will love it.
