I would go w/ a name brand like Pro 5.0, Steeda, or MGW.

How far is the reach? Does it stretch you out when shifting?

Do you have the standard MGW handle or did you upgrade to telescopic handle?

i've drove all of the following
97 cobra with pro 5.0 97 GT with Steeda tri-ax 99 Cobra with MGW orange handle shifter... i'll tell you that by far the MGW is superior.

if you look on ebay or different mustangs forums you can probably find a used MGW for the same price they want for that shifter....and i looked at the one you posted a link to...its probably not much better than stock in all honesty. and when you get cheaper ones like that, friend of mine bought one for his camaro when he 1st got it. he was at the track powershifted 2nd and stripped the threads on the bolts for the shifter haha.

Good point Traidmarx! That is what I was wondering, it looked like they just replace the handle and call it a short-throw! Plus did you see the pictures of the lowest setting? I would have to lean all the way forward to shift into 5th.

Yup. Again, try to definitely name brand specific. Don't cut yourself short and/or cut corners
![]() I will guarantee you'll be much happier w/ the crappiest version of a name brand product than say the nicest version of the off brand product.
