Return heater hose and inlet hose

Is there much of a difference between these two hoses? i may have gotten the wrong one, i need the return i believe (the one closest to pasesngers side)

i got a goodyear 63350 but im not sure until i acutally get it if its the wrong one or not. please help. thanks.

replace them both! if one is bad the other will shortly follow. its simple anyways and they are cheap. good luck

But I'll agree, since they're cheap, get 'em both done as hoses tend to fail all at the same time.

i'm just scared of a blow head gasket.

what happened was i drove it home from school (12.7 miles) then back form home about 2 min after i got there i left and got 1.1 miles from teh house, then the hose blew.. i guess ill see once that hose is in tomorrow. ughh. im so scared.

but. the coolant ws lime green (no oil), and i dont think anythig was wrong with it. my car steams, but its cold outside. its not lacking power and coolant doesn't squirt anywhere. My car has never overheated... think im ok?

there was smoke coming out the back whilst driving it home the 1.1 miles i had to. btw.

lol dont worry. it should be fine. just dont drive it with no coolant. you cant heart you engine unless you ran it with no coolant and it heated up. wich if you did you would smell burning rubber, wire, etc etc. so dont worry about it just replace em. no big delama

i may take it apart during auto shop next time though. Just to make sure. and if i can take it apart. im sure i can replace it.

one thing at a time. im sure if i blew a head gasket. its not horrible and i can drive it for a short time being until the new heads come. a week or so. but.. gotta stop thkin aobut the negative more positive.

i dont think you blew a head gasket a lot of ppl think thats easy but it happens more often when your car is running high horses

out of curiosity... what is the difference between a GT/ Cobra / Saleen? i know GT and Cobra the DOHC, but... all i can find on google are SOHC saleens... wtf?

lol whats funny is my heater hose got a hole in it on my way from Greeley CO to Abilene TX during the first damn 30miles. lol so i went back home after stoping every 10 miles to put coolant in and got home n replaced both and the next day i started my venture all over lol and it ran perfactly all the way up here. the damn enginers routed the hose right over the exhaust manifold bolt so it rubbed and got hot. lol plus its a 86 jeep. lol

GTs are SOHC Cobras are DOHC and saleens are SOHC aswell just hopped up from the saleen factory

k cool. and your story gives me some relaxatoin. once again, i taped the hose as best i could then drove it home. when i got home the smoke was BILLOWING from the hood. im thinking. "shit" i open the hood... yeah, tape definately didn't hold. haha. it just changed the direction of the squirt so it squirt ALL over the otehr side... gg.

well smoke is good it lets ya know there was still some coolant in there its when the smoke is gone is when you have to worry
