Sputtering problem

My 1998 GT sometimes sputters under WOT. The car is warmed up, but not running hot. It doesnt do it all the time either. It KILLS the upper rpm power. It seems to cut in and out, sputter. I dont even know where to start with this. Any suggestions? FYI: I recently changed the plugs, wires.

i'm with you guys on that one....

maybe he was thinking of harmonic balancer or somethin....

have you had the fuel pressure tested...its possible thatthe pump could be going bad and at higher rpm's the pump just can't keep up with the injectors, or like someone else said maybe the fuel filter.

i started having the same problem with mine about a month ago doing that and last week got to the point that it wouldn't start.

I'm going to lean towards the fuel pump crapping out.
