rims? spacers?

Say i got 18x9 rims
could i use spacers in the back to make the wheels come out?

does a inch or 1.5inch spacers actually put your wheels out to a point you can tell or are they a pointless thing?

yes 1.5 makes a big difference, and yes you could use spacers with 18s (on the rear)

1.5" spacers

You are going to put a strain on your bearings and such running that wide a spacer. Do yourself a favor and get some wheels with the off-set you like. Please don't just randomly purchase spacers to bring the wheel out. You will likely run into rubbing, as well as safety issues.

yeah...i was going to throw in the "go buy 10.5" wides" but i understnad people are on a budget.

i personally dont have spacers, i just like the wide tire look in the back.

I used to work at an off road shop & I have seen more than a few problems with wheel spacers. Anything from noises developing 5k miles later to shattering catostrophicly.

My two cents.
