kenne bell

I am planning on getting a kenne bell supercharger soon for my 98 mustang gt 5 speed with 85000 miles. I have full exhaust done, and a sct tuner already and was wondering if there should be any more prep work before i buy it. street drag radials are coming before the supercharger. would there be a problem with just using the tune that comes with kit? is should i worry about my motor having to high of miles? If this is the wrong place to post this sorry im new.

you are going to need a fuel pump, maf, and injectors as well. I would not run a canned tune with a blower. I would get it on a dyno asap.

sorry can't help never had a supercharger but i can say that maybe if you buy a supercharger with low boost the high miles won't really effect it. as long as it runs good and nothing is wrong with it.

well if you have stock springs and shocks you'll def want stiffer ones. and maybe stronger control arms too. thats what i did to mine and it feels solid. though i dont have a super charger lol

ive seen that kit, its pretty damn sick, if you are gonna keep non pi heads, i'd consider at least gettin them ported to flow better b4 u intall that blower... but thats just me... if u wanna get the most bang for your buck... damn at 9psi that thing is a monster, but i bet that those h ratings were on PI motors... which flow better than non pi heads.

about the rear end, do you have upgraded gears at all? cuz if u wanna get better acceleration you might wanna get a set of 3.73's or 4.10's

suspension is always a good upgrade, but not completely necessary for this, at least not yet haha

Yea, Street DRs are a must..

But I wouldn't get the tune that comes with it..

I ordered my Kit without their tune, and went straight to a dyno shop and had it dyno tuned with sct.

I'm still running on my 4:10s right now, which is A little to much with how this power comes in. Don't get me wrong, I love how it pulls from stoplights. But it just goes thru gears a tad fast. I'm not getting the full benefit from the boost.

I'm getting ready to up the #, So I am goin to be putting in 3:55s

Upgrading to 31 spline is always good. Specialy if your launching On DR ALOT!

I didn't think so either, but that's awesome that they do. You'll probably want lower control arms and sub frame connectors..
