cant you just take the crossover off your old intake, and swap it over onto the pi intake? someone on this forum told me i could do that... cuz i have a pi intake and i was worried about that a while back too..

I don't believe so... I was under the impression that the gasket would get destroyed and you can't buy that gasket through Ford... I may be wrong, but that is what I remember hearing.

Sorry Coldsteel no info for you...

So 97GT4.6 you just took your NPI crossover off and swapped it with the plastic one? I thought it was near impossible to get the gaskets, or did you use RTV?

oh, your nPI crossover is aluminum, and the PI one is plastic?

If so, you can't switch em out, only aluminum to aluminum you can swap out.

I don't think Coldsteel would be tapping a plastic crossover, but I could be wrong...

Hopefully not, i dont think that'd go to well. If its aluminum, he should just swap em out, and be careful not to rip the gaskets, and he'll be fine. No need to tap it if you dont need to.

How hard was it to take it off without tearing the gaskets? Just time and razor blade?
