how hard are headers to install

considering doing it. how big is the difference in sound? i'm looking to make my exhaust better/louder sounding. also, what would make a bigger difference in your guys opinions, mid pipe (considering i need one with cats for smog) or headers?

not really imo, there not worth the price you pay for maybe 4-5 hp and it "might" sound different. The stock headers in most cases are just as good as aftermarket if not better but thats just my 2 cents

you'll enjoy that a hell of a lot more than aftermarket headers, long tubes are the only real header upgrade for are cars but 9 out of 10 you probably wont pass an emissions test with them.

not too hard, but definitely time consuming and requires some patience.

don't do a header swap unless your going with long tubes. it can be very easy if you take your time to do it. all you have to do is un bolt the k-member and lower the whole shabang down a couple inches and every bolt is within reach. i can do long tubes in a couple hours this way....

It all depends on your skill level. If you don't have alot of experience working on cars, it'll be a bitch. If you can do most of the normal maintenance you experience over the life of a car yourself, then it'll be a snap.

The hardest part for me was getting the top bolt back into the starter. But I have sausage fingers!!!
