I pass emmisions every year(5 years tommorow) with out cats(BBK off-road x). You just need a chip or tune to keep the check engine light off. They dont do a sniff test on OBD2 vehicles, just plug in to your port. Actually going tommorow to get emmisions on my cars because my birthday is this weekend. This will be the first year that the 06 has had to have it and it doesnt have cats either, i have no worries at all. You guys shouldnt stress the no-cats so much

Not on 96+ vehicles.

Emissions is strictly an OBDII test. If they plug it in and it passes then that's all it needs to pass.

there should be visual inspection for safety but not emissions. get some $60 MILs or make em urself and you're good to go. usually you can find a shop that won't bother you about having no cats for the safety inspection
