Any pics of Mounted Auto Meter tachs?

I want to mount my Auto Meter tach on the dash, but I'm looking for the best way to do it. Soemone told me there is a way without punching holes in the dash with a bracket that is sold. Does anyone know, or is bolting it through the top the best? Any pics would be great. Thanks.

I don't have any pics but a few guys just run a remote shift light and mount it by the factory gauge pod. I mounted mine in the near ceter of the dash between the gauges and the clock, however I had to drill holes I see no way around it.

So you just have the shift light and use the stock tach right? I was thinking of mounting the 5" tach on the dash as I've seen in other pics, but I can't quite tell how they mount them, or if they just bolt it through the dash. Thanks

I mounted mine by making a plate for under the dash and bolted the tach down. The remote shift lights have different "pills" for different rpm ranges and can be hook to the factory ignition fairly easy.

Depends on how much $$ you want to spend CJ pony Parts www.cjponyparts.com has a tach mounting bracket that is part # TACHBRACKET it's a beauty, but it cost $43.95 and it does require some drilling, but it may be exactly what you're looking for.
