98 gt considering supercharger?

Hey guys, first post on here. I got a 98 gt all stock except flowmaster mufflers, i bought it off a guy it got hit in the front end. I'm thinking about supercharging it. I'm thinking about getting a kenne bell, 2.1L or any other roots system style. Now should I first do all forged internals ,or just some forged internals, or can i keep it stock motor? thanks Mike

What is your goal? How much boost are you planning on running?

welcome to the forums, enjoy them

I think that the KB, but if you want big numbers, all forged internals is the thing to do..
good luck

You won't be able to push a KB to it's fullest w/o stock internals. I'd budget money for a built bottom end and a KB at the same time. Forge the internals first, then throw the KB on there.

Just get the supercharger first. Have fun with it, blow your engine, then build it.

Its not advice......everyone asks this question at one point or another. He's gonna end up doing what he can afford anyway. A supercharger isnt gonna blow your engine if you take care of it and have a good tune. So why build an engine first?

yeah i was thinking around summer time to pull the motor and put all forged internals in it, and probably port and polish the stock heads and put a nice street cam. I don't really want a racing cam yet. I'm going to start looking into suspension now and save up for the motor in the summer. should be fun and fast.
