Anyone know how I can tell if my motor has been replaced?

I bought this car two weeks ago and am loving it but find myself scratching my head. It has a ton of power but is a stock motor, It has 177000+ miles on her but it doesnt show any signs of problems. I looked down into the valve covers to see if I could see gunk buildup or sludge etc but it is as clean as a whistle. Im venturing to guess it has either been rebuilt or replaced but not sure how to tell. There are marks all over the place under the hood with greese pen and it just looks clean as hell for this high mileage of a car. Anyone know some tricks I can try to figure this out?

Just run the numbers on your heads and valve covers and see what you get.

that is a pretty clean lookin engine man... do you wanna know if its just been replaced for another NPI engine? or a PI engine? cuz i dont think it will be easy to tell if its been replaced by another NPI engine.

I need to get it in the air to get the numbers off of it. I can see some on the valve cover on the passenger side but not sure if thats the numbers I need. I am thinking it may just be that well taken care of but was surprised to see it that clean, I take care of my motors in all my vehicles anyways but someone's got me beat here! LOL I had an old Chevy Silverado with 300,000 plus miles on her but youd have never known it by looking at it. But when I changed the valve cover gaskets it showed a different story lol! The motor I have now isn't a PI engine, it doesn't have the PI intake
