this a good idea?

70 MM Ford throttle body from 2003-2005 Lincoln Aviator 4.6L DOHC 32V 4V motor. Part number is 2C5U-9E926-AD. In very good condition.

Cheap way to upgrade your Mustang GT for more power. Probably the same as Ford Racing M-9926-D662 70MM throttle body (looks identical). Fits 96-03 4.6L 2V SOHC motors (as well as Aviator DOHC 4V motor). The Ford Racing throttle body sells for for $229 at Summit Racing. Buy this one at a bargain price.

Q: Would this be a direct bolt on, with no modifications needed to be put on a 2003 Mustang GT 4.6?

A: This will fit fine on a 2V GT motor. The only difference in appearance between this and the Ford Racing model is the lever where the cables connect. On the Ford Racing model the lever is steel (with plastic pieces) while this lever is all plastic. The position where the cables connect appears to be the same. You will need to put the throttle position sensor from your old throttle body on this one (2 screws). I've read several posts on Mustang forums where people have put these on GT motors and they work great.
