Fuel Pump HELP!

Well guys my girls GT, 96 model, has a bad fuel pump. I'm not 100% sure but i'm almost close to that, you don't hear the pump turning on when you turn the key, I havent checked yet because she has her key and shes out of town so I'll have to wait a few more days but I called a local mobile repair guy, he said he could come over and install new pump for 100 bucks. But what I'm wondering, where should I get a new pump at? A guy at the local Oreileys pretty much said their pumps, and all the local guys, their pumps suck and they dont last long. Checking to see what some of you guys recommend we do. Thanks

Check and make sure its not the fuel pump relay under the hood first.

you might also want to check the fuel pump cut off switch in the trunk.

most fuel shut off switches work on an inertia system to trip them so if its firm not pushing down really any its not tripped

I found a diagram to install a t rex one, so you can get an idea on how to do it, but if I were you I will pay in my opinion.. hope it helps... oh and you need to have adobe acrobat to be able to view it.
