Got beat by a "stock" fox today

hey guy, raced a 93 5.0 today he pulled on me by 2-3 cars proly 4 if we kept goin, says its completely stock except flowmasters (stock exhuast manifolds and everything) has CAI and upgraded ignition (wires,coil packs etc)

just wondering if this sounds right would he pull on me that bad if he has what he says he does, i have 97 gt convertible CAI,and exhuast. was thinkin maybe he had gears he went into 2nd while i was still in first. both cars automatic we went from a 25-30 roll

Yea that sounds about right.stock for stock you around the same hp and your car is a tad heavier coupe for coupe and you have a vert so thats a lil more weight on top of that.And i tell people my car is stock i dont tell them i have gears because that has nothing to do wit the engine.So if he had gears that would explain it right there.

yea im thinkin gears idk.. but its okay im gettin my pulleys in two days, mayne that'll help a bit

underdrive pulleys will not close a length even. just gears asap man

He would've shifted first because a 5.0 has less rpm than a 4.6.

Assuming you're also stock (or mostly stock), he beat you because he's lighter and has more torque.

Not for a mod motor, and not with an automatic.

4.10s or 4.30s.

5.0 with 3.73 would shift before a 4.6 with stock gears (auto) own both

Yea if there from ford racing they should be fine

! You just want to stay away from off brands !
