noob looking for some expert knowledge

Hey everyone I recently purchased a 97 mustang v6 with a 4.6 swap in it. From the looks of the car it was really taken care of but the previos owner couldnt tell me to much on what was done to it. Im not new to cars but just new to mustangs. So here are some of my questions....

1. I was told that it have a pi head swap in it. The oil fill is on the driver's side. Could that be possible. He said he looked at casting codes and they are pi heads but i dont know what he was talking about.

2. I know that the v6's came with a 7.5 rear end and the gts and cobras had a 8.8 rear. Its there any way to tell the differance between them ( diff cover bolts maybe)?

3. The car is and automatic and the speedo seems to be off a little. I was told that the car had differant rear end gears in it. How can i tell? my rear tires are 315-35-17 i dont think that would make much of a differance.

4 What kind of guage cluster did the v6 come with? my goes to 150mph

5. It also had a mach460 stereo what did that come factory in?

Sorry for all the small little questions but this is all info that i need to know or at least would like to know about the car. So if some of you mustang gurus out there can help me on this it will be much appreciated.

only thing i can say is if you have 3.73 gear in the rear it should be 10mph off and if you have 4.10 it would be 15mph off...

pi heads depending if romeo or windsor depicts where the oil fill is windsor passenger romeo drivers in NPI engines atleast PI engines might be all the same but he could have used NPI valve covers on PI heads easiest thing to do if you cant get the cast numbers is pull the intake off the gaskets are all reusuable NPI heads have oval ports whereas pI have squarish larger ports the same with PI intake. for speedo if you want to know what gears you have make a mark on tire and driveshaft and for 1 tire turn how ever many revolutions the drive shaft makes is your gears 3.73 turns or 4.1 turns = those gears.

speedo could also be off possibly because of the gt gauge cluster i just use my tom tom in my car to judge my speedo is about 7-8mph off at all speeds but its got a guage cluster overlay on it and im not so sure its not just wrong on that not the speedo itself and the guy who put it in screwed all the needles up one day ill rest them all ;x
