new parts ordered

i just come into 500 dollars from graduation, so i went to americanmuscle.com and ordered the bbk cai, intake spacer and 14 inch shorty antenna.
BBK Cold Air Intake (96-04 GT) at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping!
American Muscle 4.6L GT Intake Spacer (96-04) at AmericanMuscle.com
14-inch Fixed Black Antenna (1979-2009) at AmericanMuscle

i figured i would save half and spend half, and what better thing to spend it on, than my mustang.

hey, i have a question for you guys since some of you have put a cai on your car, are you able to keep the strut brace on after installing the cai? or will i have to leave it off?

I haven't heard of that but I think it will be fine... cuz the cai will be on the same place or are you talking about putting it on another place?

i was just wondering if the cai sat a little higher or stuck out in a way that it would be blocking the spot for the strut brace. i think it should be fine, but i was just curious.

i personally would not spend a 190 bucks for a CAI, it isnt worth the improvement for that kind of money. An ebay CAI would work perfectly fine for you, and at less than half the price. I bought mine for like 70 bucks and that was one of the slightly more expensive ones. All the piping is going to be the exact same the only difference is the filter and on your car the filter that comes with it will be efficient enough. And if you really wanted to a $50 K&N one will still make it cheaper than that one. MY .02C

yeah i would never spend 190 on cold air, i bought mine for 70 bucks and thats the most id ever pay for it. theres better improvements for 190, shit that can buy you 4.10 gears or a mgw short throw shifter, or idk

well, i was thinking about gears, but then after i would buy them, i would still need to get them installed and i would have to get the speedo gear and have that installed, by the time i would be done with every thing, it would be well over my 500 dollars from graduation money. that and i wanted to save about half of it since i will be losing my job in about a month and i dont know when i will be able to find another one. (thus getting some of the basic modifications out of the way)

yeah, i just put a CAI in my car tonight and i have a strut tower brace. so to answer your question, the CAI fits with the tower brace.

Any word on how the intake spacer works? or if it's worth the 40 bucks?

it prevents heat from soaking the upper intake. There's cheaper ones on ebay but I think its cuz of the brand, imo is as worth it as getting a cai or less but every bolt on supports another, like the cai helps the exhaust. You wont feel a difference unless your car has some bolt ons already but will be minimal.
