96 mustang cutting out,

my 96 mustang gt was cutting out and the check engine light came on. I took it too auto zone and i got two codes. One was p0308. Said there was a misfire in cylinder 8. Then i got the second code was p1131. it said this code was lack of oxygen switch-Sensor indicates lean. What can i do to fix this?

get new plugs wires and check coil plugs make sure that they are still good, second try to find someone with a good scanner to c if the o2 sensors are working properly, if they are they will switch from lean to rich back and foward if they are not working right then they will be stuck on lean or on rich, that should help you, also clean your iac if u have a k&n it builds more carbon than usual it is mounted on your trottle it controls your air flow this can also cause your car to idle weird or shut off good luck

number 8 is misfiring. You may have bad coil pack or wire. I got 2 misfires so i upgraded coil packs and wires. No problems still.

As far as a 1131....its saying youre motor is running lean. You may have an intake leak sucking in air at someplace on youre car.
