ugh... what a pain
ok, so when i bought my mustang a while back, i saw that there was a new intake manifold on it and new valve covers. and after reading the thread on the pi swap info that was posted a little while ago, i am wondering if i could have the pi cams. i dont think i got a pi manifold, cause the front most plenum is on the npi side.. so my question is, is there a way to tell if i have pi cams? other than just flooring it and seeing where it gets me?
ugh... what a pain it is buying a modded car from a dealer that doesn't know what is all done to it... so any help with the cam question would be greatly appreciated.

ummm not realy unless u pull the valve covers and measure the lobs of a PI and NPI the PI lobes will be larger for more lift on the valve

i highly doubt u have pi cams if u don't have the intake.
are u sure the dealer didn't just powerwash the motor so everything looks clean and new? we used to do that to all the car at the stealerships i worked for....... |

nah, im pretty sure the valve covers are new, since they have the bar code sticker on it still, and on the intake manifold, there isn't any corrosion on the copper fittings. the engine looks as if it had its driver side head taken off and either cleaned or replaced, since it is a different shade than the block.

My valve cover still has the barcode on it. The whole motor looked brand new the day I bought it. But its all the original stuff with 120,000 on it. IM gonna say no pi cams if theres no pi intake
