i don't know where to start... need advice on some upgrades.

i've got a '98 'stang gt. i've always wanted to get it pushing over 500 horses at least. about a week ago, i blew the head gaskets on it. so i figured this would be the best time to get something started. i'm not sure if i should rebuild this engine or get something else to work on. i've got some money to put into this project and would like some advice on where to start. would a 351 fit in this vehicle? what can i do to maximize the current 4.6 liter i've got?

if you do want to rebuild, i would go with all forged internals, superchare, turbo, twin turbo, or nos it, put some lower gears, headers, etc. there is a lot of things you can do to the 4.6's. pretty much let your imagination run wild! lol

that was my other thought, a 5.0. i'm going to put in a supercharger, but i'm not sure if it would be worth the upgrade to get a 5.0, or fix the 4.6. i need to decide on a motor. anyone know where to find quality rebuilt motors?

Hey man pick up a 99-04 gt engine with pi heads its your best bet. Dont get into the other engine shit this is a direct swap and you get 260 to the crank stock. Its gonna be the best bang for your buck.

Okay, I kinda knew that but is it an aftermarket head or what? And if so, who makes it? I just really don't know anything about it.
