Popping coming from the front

Maybe you guys could help !! Ive noticed a popping sound when I hit my brakes real hard it only pops once till I hit my brakes hard again! To me it sounds like the front end is shifting ! I also noticed it at the track when I go to do my burn out I dump the clutch and hit the brakes and it pops !! It was loud enough that the track guy that was directing me into the water box heard it ! It also started wearing the front passenger side tire ! Any ideas what this could be ?!?!?

Raise the car and spin the front tire to make sure if its a wheel bearing, check the bushings....

+1 my 95 GT would pop when i hit the brakes and it was my right rear bushings.
