Can my car take spray safley?

As some of you may know I've got a 96 NPI GT that will hopfully run a high 13 this spring NA. It has 87,5XX on the odometer and everything internally is stock. Could my car safely take a 50-75 shot of spray at the track, or should I just play it safe and be happy w/ my NA results? I'm just curious, I haven't looked into anything yet, I just want some input on if I could safley run spray at the track w/o sacrificing any drivability on the street....

So you guys think I could use a light shot on the track and not see any sacrifices of daily driving on the street? I maintain it really well too, I just don't want to see my lowers go on me...

I know a guy that sprays 175 horsepower religiously on a stock short block 4.6 liter. 2 years now with no problems.

You motor can handle up to a 100 shot comfortably. It will start getting angry with anything above that. Make sure if you do to use a wet kit.

How much do most wet kits run for and how hard is it to install?

I have seen them range from 400 to 700 and no they are not to bad to install. Running the hoses is the hardest part.

I know I am new to this forum, but long time mustang owner. I have had 5. I have owned 2 98gt's. I sprayed with no problems 75 shots and 125 shots into these cars. they respond well as long as you have a good kit, and a purge. you want even pressure and spray, or you will lose your beloved ABS plastic intake. Also it is a good idea not to run it once the bottle pressure drops too low.

Oh yea, and the install is pretty easy. for the trunk install just mount bottle, drill through. I recommend the right side of the trunk. I have zip tied the line to the brake lines all the way up front through the fender. then you have to tap the fuel rail (for wet kits). piece of cake.

dont use a dry kit! Because they nitrous doesnt doesnt mix with the fuel like a wet kit, there will always be a lean spot when you spray. Go with the wet kit!

That is false information. Who told you that? A dry kit is about the safest nitrous kit a novice user can use.

Dry kits don't have the fuel puddling issues associated with wet kits. Backfire issues are virtually non existent. I'm not sure if this is a big problem on 4.6 cars but 5 liter cars are notorious for nitrous backfires due to fuel puddling in the intake from wet kits.
