time for shocks and struts?

when i hit a decent size bump or something in the road the car makes a banging sound almost like the rear tires are hitting in the wheel wells. But when i do the "bounce" test it only comes up and down like one time, but i also have bumpsteer like a mofo! what do u guys think? btw it does have 1.5 lowering springs...

How many miles on the car? and with the springs? you usually need new shocks after lowering springs......
Do you hear any weird sounds? I'm trying to figure out if its something else....

theres 179k on the car about 20k on the springs
no weird noises just sounds like it has huge tires on it lol cause of the alignment being off the front tires are cupping like crazy

Sounds like your bump stops and pinion snubber. Both of those are simply things that limit the movement of your car's shock travel. You likely have the stock ones that are totally worn out, so they are bottoming out too hard. Your wheels won't rub, but it will be bottoming out. Exactly what kind of springs do you have? How many miles on the car, and are the shocks stock?

This will help me come up with the answer.

yeah the shocks are stock.
and i have the eibach pro kit they are 1.5 lowering springs
but i have bumpsteer like a mofo and the front tires the passenger side is worn on the outside and the drivers side is worn on the inside when u look at the front of the vehicle at a distance it looks like the tires are pulling from the vehicle way to far

Sounds like you need a good alignment at the least and possible some caster camber plates as well.

oh 4 sure. it really does need aligned badly. the guy that did it told me he might be able to do it but wanted to charge me 150bux to drill the rivets out of the strut tower to see if there was enough movement to adjust so i said f that. i really am having some crazy ass front end issues so if anything gonna throw new struts in there before i get it aligned or cc plates

You can get a kit from steeda to help correct the bumpsteer as well. I would guess your rear end is hitting the bumpstop on that banging sound ya got. If it were your tires hitting the wheel wells i'm sure you would see some visable signs of the contact. ( body damage from the contact or paint and rubber transfer.)

Yeah, you either need to get CC plates or go with camber bolts to get your stuff aligned proper.

The bumpsteer is coming from the drop - I'm not a big fan of Steeda, but it should be a decent kit and it will solve your problem.
