This sucks I need a new engine and advice

I just found out I need a new engine today in my 98 mustang gt. Any suggestions on if I should put a stock engine in it or something else that would have few mods?

look for a PI motor. Should be able to come across one pretty cheap.

I noticed it already has a set of piggy back underdrive pullies on it.

You should also check your local craigslist out. There is a motor on ours for 300 right now.

sorry to hear that Im goin through the same stress My 98gt motor died too.

I don't know how much you know/ are interested in rebuilding an engine, but getting a used PI motor on craigslist and rubuilding it are your best bet. Not the extreme cheapest way to go but very noticable gains in power. and direct bolt in (except intake)

check your local parts house about doing engine trades. its what i did on my 5.0 it was 900 and my old motor as the core (you keeping all your accessories)
