will it hurt??

i have seen alot of stuff about EGR deletion...is it a good or bad idea?? i mean, it sounds like a pointless part and all it does is cause problems..do you just get a plate to put over it and be done with it??

I bought the plate and was going to install when i did my pi swap. But i ended up not doing it. What you do is install the block off plate, and then get off the egr tube from the exhaust and then put a cap over the manifold. what it does it keeps youre intake clean and doesnt carbon up. you can do it if you want, i chose not to because was more work than worth. haha

Yeah i will GIVE it to you. The check engine light would stay on, but you may be able to get a tuner to turn egr off. Not sure. Anyways, As for the cap i was going to weld a metal cap over my exhaust. If you want the easy way out, just put the EGR block off between the EGR and the intake plenum, so that its blocked off and you wont have a leak.

The reason why you remove the pipe and everything else is because you want the "show" look. You can remove the EGR gasket and put the block off and it would work the same.
