cooling fan


my cooling fan isnt coming on at idle. i figured my fan switch is bad. i tested it with a multimeter and sure enough its bad. the problem is all the parts stores sell the temp sensor not the fan switch. where can i get it, it looks just like the temp sensor.

Ford maybe? my friend works at a parts store that deals in factory parts like motocraft and stuff, but its local i dont think you have anything like that whereever you live

i found one and replaced my bad one. the fan still doesnt come on. i can turn it on with a scan tool though so i know it works. for some reason the computer is not telling it to turn on.......

unplug your ect sensor.
normally if the ect is unplugged, your fann will be always on.
